La cuadrilla antes de la cuadrilla

Before becoming La Cuadrilla, Luis Guridi and Santiago Aguilar joined up with Raul Barbe (directors) and with Flavio Labiano and Miguel Vidal (producers). They formed an enigmatic group which produced thirty short films in Super-8, and seven on 35 mm, between 1980 and 1990.

Their philosophy was to always behave loutishly. Their budgets were divided equally between pop and punk. It didn´t matter what their work was used for television, literature, musicals or adverts … A decade of forcefullness, brevity and war against the pedantical..

Antes de mutar en La Cuadrilla, Luis Guridi y Santiago Aguilar formaban -con Raúl Barbé en la dirección y Flavio Labiano y Miguel Vidal en la producción- parte de un grupo enigmático que perpetró treinta cortos en super-8 y seis en 35 mm. entre 1980 y 1990.

La filosofia fue siempre la gamberrada. Los presupuestos teóricos se repartían a partes iguales entre el pop y el punk: géneros populares sin importar que el formato de origen fuera televisivo, literario, musical o publicitario… Una década de contundencia, brevedad y guerra a la pedantería.

La tarea

Virginia (María Rojo) a film student hides her camcorder with the intention of recording a prearrenged rendezvous with her ex-lover, Marcelo (José Alonso).

Unaware that he is being recorded, Marcelo is tender and seductive with Virginia… until he discovers what she is really up to… first range, then a number of mixed emotions until he finally agrees to help Virginia to finish her “homework”, with funny and unexpected situations.

Lo más natural

The breakdown of a marriage triggers new relationships with members of their younger couples. Paul (Patrick Bauchau) starts a new life with Lucia (Viviane Vives), and Clara (Charo Lopez) with Andrew (The Clash).

These new relationships are socially accepted in different ways. After twenty years of marriage, Clara is forced to rethink its existence when her husband leaves home.

After learning Andres falls into his arms. What he offers, sincerity, enthusiasm, passion, a point of madness and a delivery without modesty or conditions, it is not and never been offered so many new sensations scared him.

La ruptura de un matrimonio desencadena nuevas relaciones sentimentales de sus miembros con parejas más jóvenes. Pablo (Patrick Bauchau) inicia una nueva vida con Lucía (Viviane Vives) y, Clara (Charo López) con Andrés (Miguel Bosé).

Estas nuevas relaciones son aceptadas de diferente manera socialmente. Después de veinte años de matrimonio, Clara se ve obligada a replantear su existencia cuando su marido se va de casa.

Tras conocer a Andrés cae en  sus brazos. Lo que él le ofrece, sinceridad, entusiasmo, pasión, un punto de locura y una entrega sin pudor ni condiciones, no se lo habian ofrecido nunca y tantas sensaciones nuevas le asustan.

Caidos del cielo

Lima (Peru). Decade of the 80s. Two elderly exterratenientes whose wealth was affected by the political reforms of the 70s, dedicate their efforts to regain its former glory.

Simultaneously, one of its tenants live an intense and unpredictable love affair and two children are gradually immersed in the universe of violence that her grandmother is inadvertently weaving around them.

The three stories are moving in parallel, forming a lattice where the humor, tragedy and social point form a loving gaze, through three generations, about the recent history of Peru.

Lima (Perú). Década de los 80. Dos ancianos exterratenientes cuya riqueza fue afectada por las reformas políticas de los años 70, dedican sus esfuerzos a recuperar su antiguo esplendor.

Simultáneamente, uno de sus inquilinos vive una intensa e imprevisible aventura amorosa y dos niños se ven progresivamente inmersos en el universo de violencia que su abuela va involuntariamente tejiendo a su alrededor.

Las tres historias avanzan paralelamente, formando un entramado donde el humor, la tragedia social y el apunte amoroso conforman una mirada, a través de tres generaciones, sobre la reciente historia de Perú.
