A veteran of Pancho Villa’s Army crosses into the U.S. with his wife and finds work doing commercials in Spanish for a radio station in Los Angeles.

Persuading the station manager to let him host a morning show, Gonzalez and his seductive ballads conquer the Latino public, until then unknow and ignored.

But when a power player asks for political support, Gonzalez discovers the power of his position and the establishment recognizes the need to put a stop to his social awakening.

Un veterano del ejército de Pancho Villa cruza la frontera americana con su mujer y encuentra trabajo haciendo comerciales en español para una radio en Los Angeles.

Tras convencer al director de la radio para que le deje presentar un programa matutino, González conquista, con sus seductoras baladas, a un público latino hasta entonces desconocido e ignorado.

Pronto le piden su apoyo político y González se da cuenta de su poder. Cuando se niega a colaborar, la clase dirigente intenta detener al nuevo abanderado de los pobres.
