Marianela

Marianela (Rocío Durcal) a poor girl with a disfigured face, serves as aguide to her love Pablo, a young man, blind since birth and from a rich family. Pablo is in love with the internal vitality and beauty of Marianela, imagining her to be the most beautiful creature in the world.

One day Teodoro, a Doctor hired by his father appears to cure Pablo’s blindness. Marianela sinks into sadness, convinced that Pablo will be repulsed by her when he sees her face.

Fortunata y Jacinta

Juan Santa Cruz was born in the middle of the last century, the only child of a well off family, whose mother decides to force him to marry his cousin, Jacinta, who he was brought up with. On a visit to friends, he meets Fortunata, a passionate woman, leading to a strong passionate affair, from will result in the birth of a still born boy.

Juan forgets about Fortunata and marries Jacinta. Fortunata madly in love with him, goes to Paris. Time passes and she returns to a rich lover awho turns her into an elegant lady. A mediados del siglo pasado nació Juan Santa Cruz, hijo único de una familia acomodada, a quien su madre decidió casarle con su prima Jacinta, que se criaba junto a él. En una visita familiar conoce a Fortunata, mujer de temperamento ardiente, surgiendo entre ellos un fuerte amor pasional, del que nacerá un niño que muere al poco de nacer.

Juan se olvida de Fortunata y se casa con Jacinta. Fortunata, locamente enamorada de él, se marcha a París. Al cabo del tiempo, regresa con un amante rico que la ha convertido en una elegante mujer. Reanuda los amoríos con Juan y al enterarse su marido, la golpea brutalmente y la hecha de casa.

Entre nuevas moradas, nuevos amantes y viejos encuentros y desencuentros con Juan transcurre el tiempo, hasta que Fortunata da a luz su segundo hijo, que moribunda se lo confía a Jacinta para que le cuide.
