Dos hermanos

Marcos and Susana, brother and sister both in their sixties, live in a continous and comic confrontation.Their lives and characters are worlds apart, but their mother’s death force them to compromise.
Susana with an overbearing and delirious personality, who has always been in charge of the family bussines, perduades her brother Marcos, an educated and sensitive goldsmith, to buying an old house in a small uruguayan village. They will then start a new period in their lives: they will neither be able to live together nor separated any more.

Marcos y Susana, dos hermanos que rondan los sesenta, viven en un contínuo y cómico enfrentamiento. Sus vidas y sus temperamentos son completamente distintos, pero se ven obligados a afianzar su relación tras la muerte de su madre. Susana, con una personalidad entre avasalladora y delirante y que siempre hace los bussines en la familia, convence a su hermano Marcos, un orfebre culto y sensible, para que compre una vieja casa en un pequeño pueblo uruguayo. Comenzarán así un nuevo período de su vida en el que no sabrán estar juntos ni separados.

El abrazo partido = Lost embrace

A young Jewish boy works with his mother in a haberdashers shop in ‘El Once’ gallery. He is beginning the process of obtaining Polish citizenship to go to live in Europe.

This film tells his story, that of the diverse people who inhabit the gallery and also that of his father, who some years ago went to fight in the Yom Kippur war, and is now going to be reunited with his son.

Un joven judío trabaja junto a su madre en una mercería de un galería de El Once y está iniciando los trásmites para conseguir la ciudadania polaca e irse a vivir a Europa. 

Esta película cuenta su historia, la de los diversos personajes que habitan la galeria y la de su padre, que hace varios años se fue a luchar en la guerra de Yom Kippur, y que ahora se reencuentra con su hijo.

Todas las azafatas van al cielo

Teresa is in the sky. She is a stewardess and lives in her world of impeccable uniforms and trays of frozen food. She is afraid of the world below, of love, pain, men and motherhood. She prefers a life of airports and eternal flight. Julian is down below.

He’s a young doctor, newly widowed, who has to go to Ushuaia to keep his promise to scatter his wife’s ashes (she was also a stewardess) over the place where they first met.

Julian does know about love and pain and wants to escape this earthly world. A woman clinging to heaven, a man trying to get there. An inescapable encounter at the end of the world where the sky and the earth fuse into whiteness, where the horizon is the past.

Teresa está en el cielo. Es azafata y vive en su mundo de uniforme impecable y bandejitas de comida congelada. Teme a ese mundo de abajo, al amor, al dolor, los hombres y la maternidad. Ella prefiere una vida de aeropuertos y vuelo eterno. Allá abajo está Julián.

Un joven médico, flamante viudo, que debe viajar a Ushuaia a cumplir una promesa. Arrojar los restos de su mujer, que también fue azafata, en el lugar donde se conocieron. Julián si sabe del amor y el dolor, y quiere escapar de este mundo tan terrenal.

Una mujer que se aferra al cielo. Un hombre que intenta ascender. Un encuentro inevitable, en el fin del mundo, donde el cielo y la tierra se confunden en el blanco, donde el horizonte es el pasado.

Esperando al Mesías

Ariel is a shy boy who lives with his father, is unable to move himself smoothly and is questioning his identity. Providentially, he will meet Santamaría, a banker all his life, who loses his job and turns into a sort of vagabond, collecting documents from the rubbish.

These two will help, each in their own way, to pull down their respective families and plans. But their lives will cross and they will tell each other their stories, and from this will come other ways of confronting their existential crises.

Ariel es un tímido chico judío que convive con su padre, es incapaz de moverse con fluidez y permanente se cuestiona su identidad. Circunstancialmente conocerá a Santamaría, un bancario de toda la vida que pierde el trabajo y se convierte en una especie de vagabundo, que recolecta documentos en la basura.

Ellos dos asistirán, cada uno por su lado, al derrumbe de sus respectivas familias y proyectos. Pero sus vidas su cruzarán y se retroalimentarán, y a partir de ello surgirán otras miradas para enfrentar las crisis existenciales.
