Lucía, a mature and sophisticated women used to parisian luxuries, arrives at the small island of Porto Pim in 1944, just after the Second World War.
She waits for Pierre, with who she is planning to settle in Buenos Aires, but Pierre is facing a lot of difficulties every time he tries to get out of France. In the meantime Lucía meets Lucas, a young whales hunter with who she falls in love profoundly.
But her passionate history of love is threatened by the imminent arrival of Pierre and the feeling of rejection that she provoques within the small island’s community.
En 1944, al filo de la Segunda Guerra Mundial llega a la pequeña isla de Porto Pim Lucía, mujer madura y sofisticada acostumbrada a los lujos parisinos.
Allí espera a Pierre, con quien piensa establecerse en Buenos Aires, pero éste tiene dificultades para salir de Francia una y otra vez. En su espera conoce a Lucas, un joven cazador de ballenas del cual se enamora perdidamente.
Pero su apasionada historia de amor está atenazada por la inminente llegada de Pierre y el rechazo de la pequeña comunidad de la isla hacia ella.
