Tiempo de tormenta

Two couples are sitting on close tables in a fashionable restaurant. Elena, (Maribel Verdú) and Chus, (Jorge Sanz) are sitting with a few friends, but this doesn’t stop them arguing. Close by, Sara and Óscar, are trying to avoid shipwrecking their marriage.

They do not know each other, but the two couples find a temporary solution to their problems. A few years later they meet again, this time in the accident and emergency department of a hospital.

Elena and Chus have a child, but they have taken different paths. Sara and Óscar have suffered a great misfortune, and they have been speaking different languages ever since. After that night, their lives will change forever.

Dos parejas ocupan mesas cercanas en un restaurante de moda. Elena (Maribel Verdú) y Chus (Jorge Sanz) cenan acompañados de un puñado de amigos, lo que no les impide discutir. Muy cerca, Sara (María Barranco) y Óscar (Dario Grandinetti), intentan evitar el naufragio de su matrimonio.

Lluis de Serracant is a lawyer descendant from an illustrious Catalan family. He lives in Barcelona in the 20s and leading a seemingly normal life in the morning, but in the evening, he works as a transvestite in a small cabaret under the stagename of Autumn Flower.

When another transvestite is murdered, he becomes the prime suspect given that the two had been seen arguing violently the night before. Armengol, the protector of the murdered transvestite, is also of this opinion, and, accompanied by a pair of thugs, beats him up and leaves him, dressed as a woman, on his mother’s doorstep.

Pim, Pam, Pum ¡Fuego!

In nineteen forty something… a chorus girl, Paca, returns to Madrid by train after a tour of the provinces. In the same carriage travels a young villager, Luis, with whom she makes friends. Once in Madrid, he follows her to her house and asks for a room.

Paca lives with her father who readily accepts the young man for the sake of their sharing their political ideals. The cabaret company collapses and Paca is forced to look for another job. A colleague recommends her a dance academy where some dirty old men go to spend the afternoon.

She manages to find a job singing in a café. However, Julio, a man with high social status who has chased her for a long time because he likes her, influences the owner and makes him sack her. This makes her more humiliated and more dependent on him…
