Pablo’ father is a signalman who says he sees ghosts and his mother is a strong, illiterate woman called María. When his father dies in strange circumstances María sends her son to study in the city so that he can become an educated man. Pablo feels abandoned and grows angry. Now Pablo is a drunken literature teacher currently unemployed and he has just received news of his mother’s death. He hasn’t seen her for 35 years. On his return home the fear reappears ……
Pablo es hijo de un guardavías que dice que ve fantasmas y de María una mujer fuerte y analfabeta. Cuando su padre muere en extrañas circunstancias, María envía a su hijo a estudiar a la ciudad para que se convierta en un hombre culto. Pablo se siente abandonado y se enfada. Hoy, Pablo es un profesor de literatura borracho y en paro que acaba de recibir la noticia de la muerte de su madre. Hace 35 años que no la ve. De regreso a su pueblo, el miedo vuelve a aparecer…
