23-F. El día más difícil del Rey.

The 23rd of February 1981, which started as an ordinary day for Juan Carlos I, the King of Spain,  was to become in fact the worst moment  of all in the years of his young kingship. At 18:23 the Lt. Col. Tejero burst into the Parliament deteining the full session of parliament and holding the Government prisoner. It soon became clear that it was all about a “coup d’état”, but the protagonists of the coup said to act in the name of the King.
During the hours that followed the King had to put all his skills to work in order to demonstrate to the undecided Army Officers that he was not backing up the coup. The King and Sabino Fernández Campo, the Royal Household Secretary, ,had to face up the conspiracy and the treason of Alfonso Armada, the King’s best friend during 25 years and the real brains behind the operation.

Don Juan Carlos, junto al secretario de la Casa Real, Sabino Fernández Campo, se enfrenta a un complot y al dolor de ser traicionado por Alfonso Armada, su gran amigo de los últimos 25 años y verdadero cerebro detrás del golpe.

Nevando voy

Winter is coming over. At a factory’s tyre chains packing’s section, the orders start to heap up. Javier, the person in charge, asks for reinforcements. Jairo arrives from another section. Josu Jon, an attractive lad with a noble look, has been injured in a hard clash with the Civil Guard and he has lost his memory. He is treated in a prison hospital while he is waiting to see what the judge and the competent authority decide. He is not very sure who he is so the nuns who are looking after him teach him to pray and be a good Christian. But other inmates, from the same organization as him, help him to remember that he is, in fact, a brave “gudari”, and that he will soon be returning to the struggle if he manages to get out of prison. In the meantime, events follow their course in the Basque Country (at an undetermined time in the nineties). A university professor Xabier, is threatened for his opinions which are very critical of the situation in Euskadi (the Basque Country). An Italian girl, Francesca, his girlfriend and one of his students works as a psychologist in the same psychiatric centre where they are supervising Josu Jon’s progress.

Bucarest: La memoria perdida.

“Bucharest” is a documentary about memory. From within a double exile, it follows the personal pursuit of Albert (a journalist born in exile in 1962) to recuperate his own roots. His father, the Spanish politician Jordi Solé Tura, who became a key figure during the Spanish Transition, was obliged to go into exile toward the end of the 1950s for his militant anti-Franco beliefs. Now, after living a life replete with passionate personal and political experiences, Jordi has begun to enter a new, internal exile, this time with no possibility of returning: a fight against Alzheimer’s Disease. Every day, his memory slips further away.With this film, Albert will resurrect the memory not only of his father’s atypical life, but also that of other historical Spanish figures such as Santiago Carrillo, Felipe González, Jorge Semprún and the ex-president of Catalonia Jordi Pujol, and little known episodes in the fight against Franco’s dictatorship and the Cold War. For Albert, many of these experiences are the diffuse recollections of a child. He will travel from one exile to another, trying to recompose the memory of his family, his own memory.

Una anciana aparece asesinada en el salón de su casa a las afueras de Oxford. Su cuerpo es descubierto por dos hombres, Arthur Seldom, prestigioso profesor de lógica, y Martin, un joven estudiante americano recién llegado a la universidad con la intención de que el famoso profesor dirija su tesis doctoral.

La muerte de la anciana no es sino el primero de una serie de asesinatos con inquietantes puntos en común. Son crímenes casi imperceptibles, que podrían incluso pasar por muertes naturales si no fuera porque cada uno de ellos viene acompañado de un mensaje.

Silvia, after bumping off the teacher she was in love with, gets a taste for murder and kills a Nazi memorabilia salesman, a singer in a choir and a supermarket check-out girl… Her classmates, tired of covering up for her, decide to join the fun by knocking off the teachers and neighbours who’ve made their lives a misery. Murder committees are formed, burials take place and an incompetent police-officer is put on the case.

Silvia, tras asesinar al profesor del que estaba enamorada y a su amante, le empieza a coger el gustillo a la cosa y hace lo propio con un vendedor de artículos nazis, un cantante de orquesta, la cajera de un supermercado… Sus compañeros de clase, hartos de encubrirla, deciden que ellos también quieren quitarse de encima a los profesores y vecinos que les hacen la vida imposible. Así que se organizan en comités de asesinatos, enterramientos… Un incompetente policía tratará de resolver el caso de las misteriosas desapariciones.
