After thirty and so many years of vicissitudes, Lazaro sees himself obliged to demonstrate before the justice that his form of life responds to the necessity to escape of the hunger and, the desire not to commit crimes.
Throughout his ignited declaration, Lazaro mixes past, present and future with the intention to amuse his audience; weaving, at the same time, a carpet of types and customs of the time and, dealing with equal contempt clergy, power and town.
Después de treinta y tantos años de vicisitudes, Lázaro se ve en la obligación de demostrar ante la justicia que su forma de vida responde a la necesidad de escapar del hambre y, no al deseo de cometer delitos.
A lo largo de su encendida declaración, Lázaro mezcla pasado, presente y futuro con la intención de divertir a su auditorio; tejiendo, al mismo tiempo, un tapiz de tipos y costumbres de la época y, tratando con igual socarronería a clero, poder y pueblo.
